<p> By 1958, Supreme Court Magistrate Maximo Acosta Soto, San José, Costa Rica [1]; 1959, sold to Haig Kurdian, Wichita, KS [2]; 2016, sold to the Princeton University Art Museum. </p> <p> Notes: <br> [1] According to correspondence and related documentation in the curatorial file, this object was examined in the summer of 1958 by Kurdian. It was one of a large group of jades, many of which are also in the Princeton University Art Museum collection. </p> <p> [2] Kurdian acquired this object, included in a group of other jades, following its registration with the National Museum, San José, and the procurement of an official export license, since lost. The entire collection was exhibited at the Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego, from January 1969-March 1969. Five of the works were published in a related exhibition review in the San Diego Union. Copies of all related documentation in the curatorial file. </p>
