Description

Rim ground and slightly out-splayed; conical body. Decorated with nude figure of Hermes holding a caduceus in right hand, uncertain object (purse or tortoise shell) in left hand, standing between columns and beneath a pediment.

On the Istanbul market; purchased by Mrs. Saul S. Weinberg; given to the Museum by Mrs. Saul S. Weinberg
