Inscription
Titleslip on album cover, ink on silk: Title: [][soku] jō [][]帖. At lower left of title paper appears “Written by Kikusui” (Kikusui dai ) (菊水題). A relief seal resembling an apple appears beneath, and reads Kikusui (菊水). (The seal is the same as that of the lower inscription associated with the first painting (Leaf b). Second seal at right of inscription on the first painting (rounded—is it another seal belonging to Kikusui, or is it individual B?) Outer case inscription, ink and gold on paper: Reads: Shoga Kanshōjō 書畫觀賞帖, 1 sq. relief seal (underneath appears the number 11)

Seal: sq. relief seal (individual A) on case is the same as one associated with the inscription on Leaf c.
